Azula looked out her window, calmly listening to the birds chirping. she was suddenly interrupted by a quiet but sharp knock on her door. Azula opened the door to find a note. “Mandatory residential meeting 3pm. Location power plant.” Azula was surprised.

Azula walked outside to find many people walking like herds of sheep towards the power plant. It was dark and foggy. The mist suffocated every building in the city, it smothered the green of the leaves and grasses.

Azula walked into the crumbling power plant. There was nothing but an echo, there was no light, no movement of air, no warmth. A man stood at the entrances glaring at the people walking in. “pick a card any card” he said. Azula astonished whispered to the person behind her “what the hell is going on?”

“Pick a card any card” he repeated politely, Azula slowly grabbed a  card. As azula entered in she sow many tunnels. Tunnels in every corner. Azula read the card.” follow the chirping sound or else your fate will be doomed.” the sound lead azula to a room with no ceiling. The walls were cracked. It looked like it would break into pieces if someone touched it. Azula saw seven people in cloaks standing in a circle, all simultaneously murmuring words under their mouths. Azula glared at them trying to figure out what they were saying. Her concentration was broken when someone touched her shoulder.

“Hi do you know what is going on?”
“I have no idea”  Azula said
Azula suddenly felt an urge to itch her head and face.
“ Don’t try to itch it's only going to get worse trust me.”
“ Gee thanks, that's helpful!” Azula said sacarstically.
“I’m jakie by the way.”
Suddenly daggers were being thrown into the air  everywhere. “ I think it's about time we get out of here if we want to make it out alive.” Jakie said.

ugh frogs

Azula woke up to a strange sound, a sound she had never heard before. The sound was a mixture of an old man burping and a grasshopper chirping. For some reason, Azula could not tell where or who the sound was coming from, neither could her dogs. Azula looked out her window and the streets were deserted.

There were no cars moving, no people, no  birds chirping, the town is usually empty, but she hadn’t expected it to be like this. Azula banged on the television hoping she could get some answers.

“Turn on you idiot,” she yelled. But the TV seems to not work.Azula opened her door and knocked at her neighbor's apartment number 209.

“ Hi, sorry you don’t know me but I am your neighbor. Anyways am I going crazy or do you also hear that annoying burping sound?

“I have been hearing it all day, I couldn’t sleep at all last night. They are saying that there is a frog outbreak and no one should go outside whatsoever.”

“Wow, that is crazy town. I swear there's always something strange happening in this town”  Azula said.

Azula paced back and forth in her room trying to gripple what Bea said. “There is no way I am going to be held hostage in my apartment,” Azula said to Amanda. Azula decided to stop by the strange man house to take his dogs and her dogs for a walk.  the air outside was moist and humid than ever before. The burping and chirping sound was louder and more crystal clear than before.

Azula, annoyed by the obnoxious sound, calmly put on her earbuds. Azula stared at the sun as it dripped below the horizon when suddenly she stepped on something. It was a yellow and orange polka dotted frog. The size of a fist. Its skin was gunky but smooth.

New Beginning

Azula saw a sign on the door of the animal shelter that said “Hiring.” She jumped up and down and went inside. Azula excitingly walked ...
